Meet Montrose

We are excited to announce the birth of our very own Montrose Berry Farm Blog, it is our aim to keep you updated with the goings on of Montrose House and Berry Farm.

Meet Montrose.

A true elegant country experience of the Southern Highlands.

Montrose is divided into two structures. Firstly there is Montrose House.

Montrose House is the perfect conference, function or wedding venue that provides you an elegant country experience while enjoying the hospitality provided by the owners and staff of the heritage listed  Estate.

You can experience the intimacy and warmth of the venue (“The Barn”). Constructed in the traditional character of the 19th century knowing that you also have the technical support of today. The walls throughout The Barn feature English bond brick, giving you that old world rustic feel. It is a case of old meets new. Fairy lights hang from the ceiling creating a breathtaking romantic atmosphere.

The Barn features a bar and state of the art kitchen complete with all the mod cons of today. Seating up to 140 guests The Barn is surrounded by rolling hills, exquisite gardens and a working berry farm boasting a variety of luscious orchards.Montrose house caters for both formal and informal weddings and functions, with external or in-house catering optional.

Surrounding the heritage listed estate and grounds is also a working berry farm known as Montrose Berry Farm. The farm produces a wide variety of berries and artisanal berry products, not to mention the delicious home-made berry pie, which can all be purchased from The Farm Shop.

During berry season Montrose offers a real berry experience by allowing individuals to pick their own. Blueberries, red raspberries, loganberries,  boysenberries, autumn raspberries, red currants and hazelnuts can be available for picking season.
